The New Victoria Hospital - Future Plans
There are certain businesses, particularly in the service sector which are predominantly judged by how up to date they remain. Most people for instance would not care to fly in a 50 year-old aircraft, no matter how well maintained. The hospital is no different and it is our passionate belief that unless we can provide the most up to date care using state of the art facilities and equipment we cannot offer our patients the service they deserve.
Plans are currently under way to build a new hospital on adjacent property acquired in 2006. When the purpose built hospital opens, the existing site will be redeveloped for housing. The new hospital will have 60 beds, including a High Dependency Unit, 4 Operating Theatres, 16 Consulting Rooms, state of the art Imaging/X-ray Department, Physiotherapy Department, enlarged Pathology Department and underground car park.
As one of the very few independently owned hospitals left in the country we are proud of the fact that our facilities and services are at last on a par with and in most cases better than the large hospital groups
