RECEPTIONISTS - PART TIME

We are looking for receptionists to work in our Main Hospital Reception, our Outpatient Department and Physiotherapy Department.

Status

Permanent Part-Time 

Hours

The number of working hours vary depending on the department:

Physiotherapy Department - working 16 hours a week, Tuesday and Friday between 10:00 and 15:00 and Saturday 09:00 - 15:00.  There is a working rota and the post holder should expect to work at least one Saturday a month with flexibility to cover for annual leave as necessary.

Main Hospital Reception - working 28-30 hours a week across 4 days as part of a rota split between a team of 9. The working pattern is planned 6 weeks in advance.  The working hours of the department are 06:30 - 20:00 Monday to Saturday and 08:00 - 20:00 Sunday.  

Outpatient Department - working 30 hours a week as part of a rota. The Outpatients Department is open between 07:30 - 20:00 Monday to Saturday.

IT PROGRAMMER 

The successful candidate will join a small but busy IT department supporting a wide variety of applications and system users. The candidate will primarily be responsible for system/software development but will also be responsible for maintaining existing systems and providing training to users. You will be required to support other IT staff members in their roles and provide user support when necessary.

Openness and dedication to learning new programming languages and technologies is required.

Staggered working times will be required.

37.5 Hours per week 

Requirements

The candidate must be experienced in:

  • Programming languages such as Java, SQL and C++
  • IIS and web technologies
  • Business intelligence tools and reporting.

The candidate must have an understanding of:

  • Windows and VMWare technology
  • Agile development environment

Experience in the following would be a great advantage:

  • Meditech or other PAS systems, clinical and hospital financial systems.
  • HL7
  • System integration
  • Microsoft AD and Exchange
  • Forti OS 
  • Data repositories and dashboards
  • Working in a hospital environment
  • User training
  • User support

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER 

To assist the Building Services Manager with the safe and efficient running and maintenance of all plant, equipment and buildings. To ensure any maintenance requirements needing attention are dealt with immediately. To carry out general maintenance to the hospital including any electrical duties, general plumbing duties, minor carpentry, decorating and repairs and ensure items of equipment are maintained in good working order.

40 Hours per week plus on-call duties as required

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • be an electrically qualified engineer
  • have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  •  have a minimum of 3 years building maintenance experience, ideally in a hospital environment
  • offer a comprehensive knowledge of building maintenance
  • demonstrate a willingness to adopt new technologies
  • display an organised, flexible and responsible approach to work and be willing to work as part of a team
  • be willing to undertake on-call duties and be prepared to work overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required
  • be computer literate
