Dr Jawed has been a Consultant in Rheumatology since 2000. He is Lead clinician for Rheumatology at Kingston hospital. In his first 2 years at Kingston he established an Osteoporosis Service locally. They now run a service with all the latest treatments available.
He then trained in musculoskeletal US and image guided spinal injections. This aids early detection of inflammatory arthritis and allows accurate aspiration & injections, if needed. He is experienced with complex biologics treatments with over 700 patients under our care at the unit.
Linking in to the US theme he is very experienced at dealing with sports and soft tissue injuries and has a long association with sporting bodies. Having been an international sportsman himself he has a good insight in to the goals and needs of injured athletes. Dr Jawed is also experienced at administering autologous blood injections for difficult tendon problems.
Dr Jawed also offers treatment for the general rheumatology problems of osteoarthritis, gout and more rare autoimmune disorders.
