Miss Caroline Richardson is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at New Victoria Hospital. Miss Richardson qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2000 and spent her early training years in the Merseyside area. She was awarded her Masters in Surgical Sciences from University College London in 2006, having completed her dissertation on a novel imaging technique in breast disease. Her background in general surgery allowed her the opportunity to enhance her surgical skills and target her chosen speciality of oncoplastic breast surgery.
In 2013 she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and embarked on a two year long fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery. This widened her knowledge and skills by working at the Royal Marsden hospital in London, Cambridge University Foundation Trust, and the Istituto Tumori in Milan under the tutelage of Professor Nava. She returned to the UK to work as a Locum Consultant at the Royal Marsden hospitals in Fulham and Sutton before moving to a permanent Consultant post at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust in January 2016. She maintains a link with the Royal Marsden Trust via an honorary contract at Consultant level and close working relationships with the plastic surgical and oncology teams.
