Biography

Joseph Windley qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, in 2003. His basic surgical training was completed in Guildford. He undertook his specialist Orthopaedic training on the London North West Thames Rotation, including the major trauma centre at St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital, Croydon University Hospital and Kingston Hospital.

He completed his arthroplasty fellowship at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, subsequent to which he was appointed as a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Kingston Hospital, where he has worked since 2014. As part of the trauma team, he is also the hip fracture governance lead. His elective lower limb joint replacement work is carried out at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom, (SWLEOC,) one of the busiest joint replacement centres in the UK.

Joseph is an enthusiastic teacher. He teaches on hip and plastering courses at Kingston Hospital and is also a regularly invited faculty member at Imperial College postgraduate courses and conferences.
