Dr Sangeeta Atwal has been a Consultant Haematologist for eleven years, and been based at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust throughout that time.

She is the Clinical Lead for Thrombosis and Anticoagulation and has previously been the Clinical Lead in Haematology for South West London Pathology.

Dr Atwal was instrumental in setting up the liaison Haematology service for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and continues to regularly provide clinical advice for them. She sits on the Hospital Thrombosis Group, and the joint Quality & Safety Committee for Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust and Kingston Hospital NHS Trust.

She has been the principal Investigator for four clinical trials, one of which has recently led to a publication in the British Journal of Haematology. She has also received positive feed back for teaching candidates preparing for the FRCPath examinations.
