New Victoria Hospital is committed to the provision of exceptional standards of care and service to its patients, whose individual needs and safety are our priority at all times.

We strive to make every patients' stay with us as pleasant as possible and we do not content ourselves with anything less than perfection. The expertise and compassion of our staff together with our constant investment in the latest and best equipment enables us to have an uncompromising commitment to our patient’s safety and comfort.

We truly value feedback on the care and service we deliver and confidential questionnaire is offered to every admitted patient for completion. These are collated each month by an independent external healthcare survey company, providing validation and quality assurances of the results achieved.

We are delighted to say that in 2016:

99.9% of respondents rated their overall quality of care as excellent, very good or good.

"Further praise - I am still here in room 29. While I will include all my praise in the feedback form I didn't want to wait to send this. Nurse Amy has been fantastic all week but was particularly tenacious yesterday in getting my pain under control, taking the initiative to liaise with doctors to improve things. For the first time yesterday the pain was so much better. She is a credit to nursing. The New Victoria should be proud of its nursing team. Th physio team are equally as tenacious and good, devoting a lot of time to getting me back on my feet. Please pass my thanks on to them too. Catering staff are all lovely - they notice if I don't eat and always encourage an alternative. Your staff are making a difficult time in our lives as smooth as possible. "I spent 3 days in Room 33 at your hospital and underwent a hernia repair (inguinal hernia). May I compliment you on your dedicated commitment and professional service? It was a welcomed relief to move away from a previously bad NHS experience to receive such outstanding patient care at the hands of your wonderful staff.

Mr Fawcett's approach and professionalism deserves the highest of accolades - he is a superb surgeon and inspires trust and confidence. Mrs Loubser reminded me of the matrons we used to have in the old days - kind caring, firm, perceptive and professional - a source of trust and confidence. An amazing lady! Her staff - Mesdammes Binner and Padua are a credit to your hospital and the nursing profession. I valued and appreciated their help throughout, and they left an indelible mark on my experience of the caring profession. At 74 years of age I have been around the block a few times and having worked as a counsellor at a surgery, I valued the way that they put the patient at the centre of their total nursing care!
