Vaccinations are available to protect against a range of illnesses and diseases from childhood immunisations to travel and occupational vaccinations. Occasionally, certain vaccines may not be available from the supplier, see details below.

Multiple vaccinations can be given at the same appointment if appropriate.

Live vaccines need four weeks between doses. 

All our vaccinations are administered by our doctors at Your Private GP Service at New Victoria Hospital.

 

Travel Vaccination Clinic

Your Private GP Service offers a comprehensive travel vaccination clinic. It is best to plan to get vaccinated at least 6 weeks prior to travelling. Please ask to speak to one of our doctors before you book your appointment, for information on which vaccinations are required for travel to specific countries or regions.

Multiple travel vaccinations can be given at the same clinic appointment if appropriate.

All our vaccinations are carried out by our doctors.

NB. We do not currently offer the Yellow Fever vaccination at New Victoria Hospital.

 

Vaccine Prices

There is no charge for a vaccination appointment. You will only be charged for the vaccination at New Victoria Hospital.

Please note, the prices listed are per vaccine dose. Some immunisations require more than one dose.

 

Hepatitis A Vaccine

Age: Over 15 years. Course: 2 vaccines, 6-12 months apart

Hepatitis B Vaccine

Age: From birth.

The standard course involves three injections at 0, 1 and 6 months. Accelerated course available 0, 7, and 21 days.

Further boosters may be required.

Following the course of immunisations, a blood test may be recommended to confirm immunisation status for certain groups e.g. those at risk from occupational exposure.

Age: Over 1 year. Course Children: 2 vaccines, 6-12 months apart. Adults: 3 vaccines at 0, 7 and 21 days

Hepatitis A & Typhoid Vaccine

Age: Over 15 years. Course: 2 vaccines, 6-12 months apart

Price: £95 per vaccine dose

 

Typhoid Vaccine

Age: Over 2 years. Course: 1 vaccine

Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine

Age: Over 2 months. Course: 2 vaccines at 0 and 28 days.

Rabies Vaccine (Rabies BP/Rabipur) 

Age: TBC. Course: 4 at 0, 7, 21 days and 12 months

Price: £75 per vaccine dose

 

Combined Diptheria, Tetanus, Polio (DTP/Revaxis)

Age: Over 2 months old. Course:  depends on age.

Booster required every 10 years at risk. Price: £50 per vaccine dose

Meningitis B (Bexsero) Vaccine

Age: Over 2 months. Course: 2 or 3 vaccines. Number of doses and intervals vary depending on age of child. Further booster may be required.

Course: 2 doses usually at 12 and 40 months of age.

BCG Vaccine for Tuberculosis (TB)

Vaccine not currently available from supplier (20/9/17)

Age: from birth. Course: 1 vaccine

TB pre test required if patient is over 6 years old.

TB pre-test : TB Gold blood (Quantiferon)

Test £145

These blood results typically take 3 days to return so vaccination can be booked 4 days later.

 

Flu Vaccine  

Age: Injection for over 6 months of age. Course: 1 vaccine

Nasal Flu Vaccine  

Age:  children over 2 and under 18 years of age. Price: £45 

Flu vaccination is given by nasal spray applicator, one spray into each nostril.

4-in-1 and 5-in 1

Usually given as part of a routine vaccination schedule, please discuss with the GP. 

The 4-in-1 pre-school booster vaccine is offered to three-year-old children to boost their protection against four different serious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio.

Price: £110

The 5-in-1 vaccine used in the UK gives protection against these five serious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), polio and Hib disease (Haemophilus influenza type b).
