Physiotherapy treatment may include:

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used to help improve local blood flow and stimulate local nerve activity for optimal healing and to help re-establish the body’s chi. Treatment will be carried out by our Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists registered physiotherapists.

We provide advice on how to best manage your problem.
 

Deep tissue massage and Soft tissue release

Deep tissue massage and Soft tissue release is used to help regain flexibility in the tissues and help improve local blood flow.
 

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy (including ultrasound, shortwave diathermy, biofeedback, muscle stimulation) is used to stimulate and optimise the biochemical conditions for healing at the site of injury.
 

Manipulation

Manipulation is small, controlled, high speed movements aimed at the spinal joints as another means to help regain movement and reduce pain.
 

Mobilisations

Mobilisations are graded passive oscillations to spinal and peripheral joints to help regain movement and reduce pain.
 

Postural correction advise

Advise on how to maintain correct posture at home, office or in car.
 

Stretching exercises

Stretching exercises are used to return optimal soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia and skin) to normal flexibility and mobility.
 

Strengthening exercises

Strengthening exercises are used to regain the strength lost through injury or poor posture and to address muscle inbalance.
