PHARMACY MANAGER

We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Manager to join the Pharmacy team at New Victoria Hospital.

The successful candidate will provide professional and clinical supervision of the pharmacy service as well as working clinically as part of the pharmacy rota. The Pharmacy Manager will provide a high level of personal, clinical and professional pharmacy practice; ensuring that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Standards are adhered to at all times. The Manager will lead on medicines safety and optimisation and liaise effectively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary clinical team.

Summary of the role:

  • To provide, develop and promote a responsive, patient focused, clinical pharmacy service to patients and staff within New Victoria Hospital.
  • To provide direct supervision, training and development to pharmacy and other clinical staff, including the use of controlled drugs and medicines safety and optimisation.
  • To deliver specialist pharmacy information and expert advice to all members of the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient pharmaceutical care and ensure that medicines are prescribed, administered and supplied in a safe, effective and economic manner thereby reducing harm to patients caused by medication errors.

Requirements the successful candidate will offer:

  • BSc in Pharmacy or BPharm
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council and Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Manager and successful team management / change management
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • 5 years post registration
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Excellent understanding of and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong written, numeracy and abstract reasoning
  • Able to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities and tasks.

REGISTERED STAFF NURSE (Band 5) 

We are looking for a first level Registered Nurse with effective interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care and service to our patients.  A minimum of 12 months recent post-registration, surgical nursing experience is essential, however an exceptional newly qualified candidate may be considered. The role does require participation in an internal rotation system as part of a 7-day rota.

BANK PHYSIOTHERAPIST

We are looking for a Physiotherapist to work with our Outpatient team.  You must be able to independently manage a musculoskeletal outpatient workload and it is essential that you offer previous Outpatient and Orthopaedic experience.

You are required to be MCSP and HPC registered.

BANK STAFF NURSE (Band 5)

We are looking for experienced Staff Nurses to join our Bank to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing a variety of surgeries on an ad hoc basis.

You will be joining a friendly nursing team within a professional caring environment led by an experienced Head of Nursing.

The service consists predominantly of elective multi-speciality surgical care. The successful applicant will have a flexible approach and be available for regular duties possibly 2 – 3 shifts per week.
