New Victoria Hospital is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to effectively manage all aspects of the Supplies Department. The role of the department is to liaise closely with all Heads of Departments in order to ensure that supplies are ordered accurately and cost-effectively, while taking account of the hospitals purchasing policy.
Key duties and responsibilities for the role include:
Meet departmental requirements of procurement and stock supplies, minimising any risks
Leading a cross functional team of 2
Build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring service level agreements, contracts and negotiations are in place to provide quality, efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness.
Be aware of the guidelines governing product liability and product standards
Be cognisant of new products as they become available on the market, and to liaise with Head of Departments in product evaluation prior to the introduction of any new items with a view to ensuring that they meet current legislation for specification and safety
Requirements for the role include:
Proven track record of delivering clinical procurement
Ideally you will have experience of leading or line management
Detailed understanding of stock management and control within healthcare organisation
A level/GCSE in English Language and Maths (preferred)
Demonstrable experience in budget management including costing
Good communication skills both orally and in writing

The successful candidate will work as part of a team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all pantry areas whilst offering catering room service to our patients and their visitors, Consultants and all employees of New Victoria Hospital.
