We are looking for a Chef to join our Catering Team at New Victoria Hospital. We are a prestigious Private Hospital who take pride in providing excellent patient care at all times. 

The role will ensure a high standard of food preparation and presentation for patients, visitors and staff, and will assist in the development of varied, interesting and nutritious menus, using fresh produce as comprehensively as possible.

Duties of the post will also include administrative responsibilities such as supporting the Head Chef with ordering supplies and other administration tasks when needed.

 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Levels 2 & 3 (supervisory/management) NVQ in Catering or equivalent
  • City & Guilds food hygiene 
  • Advanced level City & Guilds qualifications; desirable

Knowledge

  • Food hygiene standards
  • Menu Creation
  • Stock Control / Purchasing
  • Understanding of dietary needs in terms of health care; desirable

Experience

  • 5 plus years in a commercial kitchen or similar environment

Personal Circumstances

  • Able to work overtime if needed and to work on a 7 days rota as and when required
