Mr Giles Davies MB BS BSc. MD FRCS(Gen.Surg.) is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at New Victoria Hospital.
Mr Davies was educated at Harrow and trained at St George's Hospital Medical School where he obtained the Wiliam Devitt-Pendulbury exhibition for outstanding achievement in part B MB BS.
In 1997 he graduated with an intercalated BSc with honours and undertook basic surgical training at the Royal London Hospital and then specialist surgical training in the South West Thames Specialist Registrar Rotation. During this training Mr Davies undertook a two year period of research at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he was awarded his MD Thesis. His research on the prevention of breast cancer with COX-2 inhibitors has been widely published and he has presented research at international meetings in Australia, Japan and the USA.
In 2006 he spent an international Oncoplastic Fellowship year at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia as the Senior Registrar and Oncoplastic Fellow where he was trained in Oncoplastic surgical techniques of the breast.
In 2007 Mr Davies was appointed as an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Kingston Hospital Breast Unit and is also an honorary Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Fulham. Mr Giles Davies left the NHS in 2016.
