Mr Raj Khattar has been a consultant cardiologist for over ten years and his current NHS practice is based at The Royal Brompton Hospital.
He performs general cardiology clinics and has extensive experience in both advanced echocardiography and percutaneous coronary intervention. He routinely performs stress and contrast echocardiography, trans-oesophageal echocardiography, 3-D echocardiography, coronary angioplasty and stent implantation.
He has written book chapters and has numerous publications in a broad range of heart conditions with a particular interest in chest pain assessment, coronary heart disease, valve disease and heart failure.
Mr Khattar has a Doctor of Medicine postgraduate degree and Fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology. he is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer with The National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, London with active ongoing research interests.
