Mr Thomas Kersey is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at New Victoria Hospital.
He qualified at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Medical School, University of London in 2001 and subsequently undertook speciality training in Oxford and Exeter. He is one of the few surgeons in the UK who is dual fellowship trained in both Glaucoma and Oculoplastic Surgery.
Mr Kersey undertakes bespoke cataract surgery using advanced multifocal lenses and astigmatic correction. He is also the Lead Glaucoma Surgeon at Frimley Park NHS Trust, Surrey, specialising in endoscopic laser surgery using minimally invasive techniques.
He has published over 25 peer reviewed articles. He is Head of Cataract, Glaucoma and Oculoplastic Simulation Training across the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery; being responsible for the simulation training of junior eye surgeons in the region as well as running national and international wet lab workshops.
