Dr Kirstin Schmidt is an established GP, who has worked extensively at local GP practices, both NHS and private, as well as for the NHS extended hours service and as a GP educator, before setting up her practice as part of the private GP Service at New Victoria Hospital.
She is passionate about caring for patients of all ages and getting to know the whole family to provide them with holistic care.
Her breadth of knowledge means she is happy to manage all aspects of family health from birth to end of life, but has maintained a particular interest in paediatrics, including paediatric allergy.
She continues her commitment to a number of roles and remains involved in teaching allied healthcare professionals in training and sitting on the Local GP Medical Committee.
Dr Schmidt graduated from The University of Leicester before working in several local hospitals, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of medicine and various specialities. She worked for a number of years in Paediatrics before completing her GP training at Kingston Hospital and at practices in Barnes and New Malden.
She enjoys spending time with her family and is a board trustee, who is proud of the work her children’s charity does in Tanzania. She has volunteered abroad and travelled extensively and still loves to travel and read when life as a busy mum and GP allow!
