Mr Hamid Abboudi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. He sees patients at New Victoria Hospital and specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones, urinary symptoms affecting both men and women, benign prostate conditions and recurrent urinary tract infections, alongside a broad general urology practice.

Mr Abboudi has particular expertise in endourology and the minimally invasive treatment of kidney stone disease, including laser surgery. He has extensive experience in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and offers a range of modern minimally invasive and surgical treatments, including Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), Rezūm water vapour therapy, UroLift and Aquablation. He also provides assessment and investigation for a wide range of general urological concerns, including blood in the urine, testicular pain, erectile dysfunction and suspected prostate cancer.

Mr Abboudi has a specialist interest in bladder cancer and leads a weekly outpatient clinic at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust dedicated to its diagnosis and laser treatment. He is a core member of the bladder cancer and kidney stone multidisciplinary teams and serves as Clinical Governance Lead for Imperial Urology.

After graduating from St George’s University of London, Mr Abboudi completed his higher specialist training in urology in North London before undertaking a fellowship at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals. During his fellowship, he was awarded the prestigious British Association of Urological Surgeons Travelling Fellowship Grant, which enabled him to undertake further specialist training in the medical and surgical management of complex kidney stone disease at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Abboudi has an active academic and research role. He is involved in national clinical trials, has published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and regularly presents his work at national and international conferences. He has received several postgraduate research prizes and acts as a peer reviewer for a number of urology journals.
