Biography
Mr Jai Seth is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at St George’s University Hospital.
He co-leads the Urodynamic, Female Urology and Neuro-Urology service at St George’s Hospital and Kingston Hospital, supports the continence service at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals, and is part of a specialised team providing cancer survivorship at the Royal Marsden Hospital for men with post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence. He provides liaison support for the bladder management of patients at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in Putney.
Mr Seth has an active academic background, having received a number of awards, including a prestigious research grant from The Urology Foundation, was awarded a Doctorate for his research into neuropathic bladder dysfunction from University College London, and has co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications or book chapters and widely presents scientific papers at an international scale.
Mr Seth is an expert in a range of functional bladder, prostate procedures for conditions affecting men and women. Such as addressing urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, stress incontinence, the enlarged prostate, neuropathic bladder and general urology. These procedures include, circumcision, vasectomy, scrotal surgery, Transurethral resection of the prostate, Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, Urolift, Rezum, Urodynamic testing, Bladder Botox treatments, Sacral nerve stimulation, Artificial urinary sphincter insertion, suprapubic catheter placement, urethral stricture surgery, Urethral bulking procedures, and Robotic Colposuspension (he has led the team that pioneered this in the UK) and fascial sling insertion for female stress incontinence.
He is also the National Clinical Lead for Urology for 18 Week Support, the largest NHS insourcing agency in the UK, co-ordinating the post-pandemic recovery of Urology at many NHS Hospitals around the UK.
He enjoys taking an active role in teaching and is a Senior Lecturer at St George’s University London Medical School, where he is the Surgery lead for the Early Years.
