We are looking for an experienced Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Outpatient team. The role will involve working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to breast patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice, providing specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers with a diagnosis of breast cancer.

You will join a team providing exceptional nursing care throughout the patients’ journey, (Outpatients and Inpatients) to all breast cancer patients of New Victoria Hospital. As part of a dedicated team, you'll work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients, within the framework of New Victoria’s and Bupa’s London Diagnostic and Secondary Care services policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

 

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) Part 1 of the NMC register
  • Breast Care Course

Experience

  • 3 years post-registration
  • Previous experience as a breast care nurse

Skills and Aptitude

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Conversant with current professional issues and relevant research; desirable
