NVH acquisition by Bupa

We are delighted to announce that New Victoria Hospital is set to be acquired by Bupa, with the formal completion expected in summer 2025.

Bupa currently operates 88 health clinics across the UK, and New Victoria Hospital is Bupa’s first UK hospital acquisition since 2008, enabling the advancement of more seamless patient pathways from primary care services into secondary care facilities.

A new chapter for New Victoria Hospital

This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for New Victoria Hospital and its staff and patients. With this acquisition, it will allow the Hospital to further strengthen its commitment to provide quality healthcare as it becomes part of an innovative and world-renowned healthcare group.

David Marshall, CEO of New Victoria Hospital, comments, “We’re very pleased to join the Bupa family. This acquisition is a significant step forward for New Victoria Hospital as it allows us to continue to grow together and strengthen our treatment pathways for our patients through greater access to resources and innovation.”

Our Hospital has served the local community for over 127 years, continuously adapting to overcome market challenges and meet evolving patient needs. New Victoria Hospital has consistently continued to be ranked by our patients as one of London’s top private hospitals, and our reputation has been built not only on our clinical excellence but also on our compassionate care and friendly and supportive environment.

As part of Bupa Health Services, we are now able to enhance our private healthcare offer even further and focus on providing excellent standards of care, supported by one of the leading healthcare organisations in our country.

David further states that, “We are incredibly proud of the heritage of the Hospital, its roots and how it has become a lifeline to so many in our community and beyond. Under the Bupa umbrella, our ethos, values and commitment to exceptional care will remain unchanged, and all patients will find the same welcoming and positive environment thanks to the dedication of all our teams.”

As we embark on this new journey, we want to thank all our patients, staff, Consultants, and GPs for your continuous support and reassure you all that all appointments and Hospital activities are going ahead as planned and we will continue to deliver the same high-quality care as we always do at New Victoria Hospital.
