Dr Michael Michail is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with specialist expertise in the assessment and treatment of coronary artery disease and structural heart conditions, with a particular interest in aortic stenosis.

He specialises in advanced and minimally invasive interventional cardiac procedures, including coronary angioplasty and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), helping patients with complex heart conditions access advanced treatment options.

Dr Michail offers comprehensive cardiology care for a range of conditions, including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness, heart valve disease, high blood pressure (hypertension) and high cholesterol. He uses a range of modern diagnostic investigations, including ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI, to support accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment plans.

Dr Michail graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London and went on to train at leading cardiac centres, including The Heart Hospital (UCLH) and Barts Heart Centre. He completed a three-year funded PhD and interventional cardiology fellowship at MonashHeart in Melbourne, in collaboration with University College London, focusing on coronary physiology and valvular heart disease.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Michail remains actively involved in research and education, contributing to the ongoing development of interventional cardiology.
