Biography

Mr Kiran Varad is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with specialist expertise in paediatric ENT, adult nasal and sinus surgery, skin cancer, and general ENT. He completed advanced fellowship training in children’s ENT at Great Ormond Street Hospital and is the regional lead for Paediatric ENT across the South Thames Paediatric Network, overseeing services throughout London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent. He is also the Clinical Lead for ENT at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, and Paediatric ENT Lead at both Ashford and St Peter’s and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

His private practice is based at New Victoria Hospital in Kingston upon Thames, where he provides consultant-led care to children and adults from across southwest London and Surrey. Known for his calm, clear and collaborative approach, he offers personalised treatment and continuity throughout the patient journey.

In paediatric ENT, Mr Varad treats the full range of childhood conditions including glue ear, recurrent tonsillitis, adenoid problems, snoring/sleep sleep apnoea, tongue tie, swallowing and airway problems. He specialises in Coblation® intracapsular tonsillectomy—a modern, low-pain technique that allows faster recovery and fewer complications. As a parent of two young children, he appreciates the concerns families have when their child requires medical care and brings a thoughtful, supportive approach to every stage of treatment.

His adult practice focuses on nasal and sinus conditions such as chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, polyps and allergic rhinitis. He regularly performs endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty and turbinoplasty. He also manages general ENT conditions including hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, voice issues, throat discomfort and snoring.

Mr Varad has a specialist interest in the diagnosis and surgical management of skin cancers affecting the head and neck. He treats all forms of skin cancer in this region, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, and provides complete surgical care from diagnosis through to excision and reconstruction. He is a core member of the regional skin cancer multidisciplinary team in North West Surrey.

He trained at King’s College London and completed higher surgical training in ENT across London and the South East. He holds an MCh in ENT with distinction and the FRCS (ORL-HNS), and has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers in the field. He remains actively involved in teaching and regularly presents at national and international conferences.

Mr Varad is committed to delivering safe, modern and individualised care. Every patient is seen and managed directly by him, ensuring consistency, trust and expert decision-making at every stage.
