Here at New Victoria Hospital, we are currently looking for Housekeeping Assistants to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure high standards of cleanliness in all areas of The Hospital (including Theatres) in accordance with Infection Control Standards.

Some of the duties of the role include:

  • Carrying out cleaning schedules as stated for the appropriate shift and in accordance with the Housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Carrying out all duties in accordance with the Infection Control Policy
  • Carrying out all duties in accordance with the Manual Handling Policy
  • Using the correct cleaning processes in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Requirements

Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal sensitively with patients, and communicate effectively with other staff.

Knowledge:

  • Infection control standards is desirable

Experience:

  • Similar healthcare experience is desirable

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Schooling certificate or equivalent is desirable
