We are looking for a SQL Administrator / Applications Specialist to join our friendly IT team! Some of the duties and responsibilities of this role involve:

  • working with applications specialists to ensure the hospital is maximising its use of existing applications
  • Provide user training and support for computer users
  • use Microsoft SQL tools and other applications to manage data flow between systems, develop applications and provide information for business analysts
  • work as part of a team implementing and maintaining new applications 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Good level of secondary education.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • IT literacy skills
  • Intermediate Excel (desirable)
  • Meditech or equivalent (desirable)

Experience:

  • Administrative skills and competences in a hospital or GP surgery

Skills and aptitude:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Literate and numerate
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills, for effective working relationships throughout the Hospital
  • Accuracy
