Biography

Dr Manav Sohal is a Consultant Cardiologist at New Victoria Hospital with a specialist interest in heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias).

He completed general cardiology training in some of the busiest hospitals in London and the South Coast before pursuing sub-specialist training in electrophysiology and pacing in Brighton and at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London.  He was awarded a prestigious European fellowship to train in Belgium and this provided outstanding exposure to novel interventional techniques for managing both simple and complex heart rhythm disorders.  He assesses and treats patients with both general cardiology complaints and symptoms attributable to heart rhythm disturbances.  Dr Sohal is fully trained in the medical and interventional treatment of arrhythmias and has a specific interest in complex ablation and pacemaker/defibrillator implantation.

Dr Sohal is committed to delivering the highest standard of care and aims to empower patients to make informed choices for their treatment.  He places the patient at the forefront of his efforts and works with patients and general practitioners to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr Sohal is based at St. George’s Hospital where he is clinical lead for Cardiology.  St. George’s serves as the regional referral unit for South West London and Surrey.
