Chronic pain is a complex and often debilitating condition that affects the quality of life for millions of people worldwide. As part of our Women’s Health campaign, with our experienced and trusted Gynaecology Consultant Miss Silvia Carta and an award-winning fibroids advocate Dawn Heels, we explored the topic of infertility, heavy and painful periods, and the available diagnostics to establish their cause, which, in many cases, is uterine fibroids, and hysteroscopic tissue removal or hysteroscopic morcellation as a potential treatment option.

Osteoporosis is a common yet often misunderstood condition affecting millions worldwide, particularly women. As part of the Women’s Health campaign at New Victoria Hospital, our Consultant Rheumatologist Dr Israa Al-Shakarchi offers valuable insights into osteoporosis, its causes, risk factors, symptoms, and how to manage it effectively.

Roadworks will commence on Coombe Lane West, outside the Hospital, on Monday, 20 May. They are likely to last for three weeks, ending on Friday, 7 June.

In January 2024, Health Secretary announced new priorities for the first-ever government-led Women's Health Strategy for England. Once again, this has highlighted the ongoing need for improvements and enhanced access to crucial services for women across the UK.

We would like to inform our patients that our Physiotherapy department has moved to the building on the left side of the main Hospital entrance. Starting from Monday the 15th of April, patients will access the Physiotherapy premises from the left side of the car park.

To mark March as Endometriosis Awareness Month, we delved deep into the world of endometriosis, a condition affecting millions worldwide, yet often misunderstood and underdiagnosed. On the panel discussion, we were joined by one of our leading Gynaecology Consultants and Endometriosis specialists Mr Zaid Hasafa, an endometriosis advocate, influencer and a professional dancer Mathilde Barker, and Liz Connor, a health writer and moderator at JFPR Consulting.

Most of the Hospital's Outpatient services will be closed on Good Friday, 29th March and Easter Monday, 1st April but open on Saturday, 30th March from 8am to 2pm. The Hospital will reopen as usual on Tuesday, the 2nd of April, 2024.

New Victoria Hospital has expanded its Private GP Service by welcoming two new General Practitioners and increasing the number of same-day GP appointments available from Monday to Saturday.
