We are looking for a Bank Porter to join our Portering team. 

The role of the department is to facilitate the smooth running of the Hospital by providing general portering services to all departments.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of the post include:

• Maintaining a high standard of personal appearance, hygiene and politeness at all times to patients, staff and visitors.
• Escorting and assisting patients with their baggage on their admission and discharge to and from reception/waiting area and the wards.
• Conveying patients on trolleys to and from the wards, operating department and X-Ray department.
• Conveying patients in wheelchairs to department for diagnostic examinations and/or treatment.
• Sorting all incoming consultant mail and file in consultant folders as required.
• Collecting consultant folders from outpatients and file in consultant cabinet as required.
• When carrying the “porters bleep” react immediately to the cardiac arrest bleep and undertake the duties assigned.
