Shoulder Pain

Shoulder injuries and pain can cause extreme difficulty in our day to day lives. Early treatment and management of these symptoms can help settle pain and restore full function.

What will I need to bring to Physiotherapy?

When assessing and treating your condition, it is necessary to expose the relevant areas in order to be as accurate as possible. Therefore for shoulder assessment and treatment, you will be required to remove your t-shirt/shirt. If you have a preference for a male or female physiotherapist, please mention this at the time of booking.

If you have any correspondence or investigations available, please bring these with you as they can be useful to the physiotherapist when determining your diagnosis and treatment. If you have had investigations performed at New Victoria Hospital, our physiotherapists will have access to these.

Examples of Shoulder Conditions Treated:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Impingement
  • Acromioclavicular Dislocations/Injuries
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Rotator Cuff Dysfunction
  • Instability/Dislocations

There are a lot of conditions that can affect the neck, and our physiotherapists are well equipped with them all. Should we feel your condition requires further investigation or treatment, we are lucky enough to have specialist consultants nearby as part of New Victoria Hospital.
