Preventative Health Care for Men

Prevention is key when it comes to men’s health. Many serious conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, can be managed more effectively if detected early.

As men typically pay less attention to their health and wellbeing, regular checkups and screenings are essential for early detection.

At our men’s health clinic in London, we take a proactive approach to healthcare by offering comprehensive screenings and diagnostic tests to detect issues before they become serious. In addition to standard health screenings, we provide tailored advice on lifestyle modifications, diet, exercise, and stress management to help maintain optimal health.

Cardiology

Common Health Concerns For Men

The three most common causes for concerns for men include cardiology, gastroenterology, and urology. The most common types of cancers for men include prostate, testicular, and bowel.

Cardiology

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of illness among men. Risk factors for heart disease include family history, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle.

Prevention and early diagnosis are critical to the management of heart disease and other heart-related issues. Lifestyle modifications, regular check-ups, and targeted interventions are crucial to maintaining cardiovascular health.

Urology

Urology includes the bladder, kidney, prostate and male reproductive organs. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with 1 in 8 men being diagnosed with it annually. White men over 50 with family history and black men over 40 are considered at risk of developing prostate cancer, and should consider getting regular screenings.

Our Men's Health Clinic London provides expert urology care, diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the male reproductive system and urinary tract.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among men aged 20-40, with 2,300 men being diagnosed with it every year. The first signs to look out for include a lump or swelling in one of them. Although this is usually painless, it is best to schedule an appointment with a doctor.

We also have Andrology Services available at our men’s health clinic which focuses on male sexual health. This includes services such as infertility, erectile dysfunction, and penile conditions.

Gastroenterology

Digestive health plays a crucial role in overall well-being, yet many men overlook symptoms of gastrointestinal conditions until they become serious.

At New Victoria Hospital’s Men's Health Clinic in London, our Gastroenterology Consultants provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for conditions, such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
