Biography

Dr Martin-Lopez graduated in Medicine from Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) and obtained a Master’s Degree in Neurosciences from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid. He continued his studies in Madrid where he trained in neurophysiology at the Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón.

In 2016 he joined St George’s Hospital and Kingston Hospital where he has recently set up the first Neurophysiology service.

Dr Martin-Lopez investigations, include Electromyography, nerve conduction studies, single fibre EMG, somatosensory evoked potentials and EEG.

His research interests include epilepsy, signal processing, peripheral nervous system diseases, movement disorders and basic neurosciences. He is completing his PhD in human focal epilepsy and a Physics degree. Since 2014 he actively collaborates with King’s College London and St George’s University in epilepsy research and he has a published his research results in international journals.
