Dr Philip Rich is a consultant adult and paediatric neuroradiologist. He qualified in medicine at Guy’s Hospital, London (1989), undertook general radiology training at King’s College hospital and neuroradiology training at The National Hospital Queen Square, Atkinson Morley’s Hospital and Great Ormond St Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant to Atkinson Morley’s Hospital in 2001.
His NHS practice is based in the neuroscience unit at St George’s Hospital and he is the visiting consultant neuroradiologist to Royal Marsden and Kingston Hospitals. His clinical practice encompasses the full range of diagnostic neuroradiology with areas of subspecialist interest that include fetal imaging, paediatric neuroimaging, neuro-oncology, adult neurology and imaging for neurodegenerative conditions and cognitive impairment. He has contributed chapters to text books on radiology and neurology, co-authored a range of scientific papers and is involved in current multicentre trials in spinal radiotherapy and treatment of vascular dementia. He has lectured on neuroradiological topics at national meetings in radiology, oncology and psychiatry.
