Urogynaecology involves the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence and female pelvic floor disorders. These may include pelvic organ prolapse (cystocele, rectocele, prolapse of the uterus or the vaginal vault), childbirth trauma, lower urinary tract symptoms (urinary urgency, frequency, incontinence, voiding difficulties, cystitis etc) and pelvic pain syndromes (bladder, urethral, vaginal, perineal pain).
